Prepare For The Cold.

Winter will soon be upon us.

Are you a year round diver or does the kit go in the loft as soon as the nights draw in?

Our training goes on year round. We manage this by using and offering the highest spec equipment suited to the worst the UK weather can throw at us.

It is about now that the hoods, gloves and thicker dive underwear comes out, and of course the full benefit of dry suits becomes obvious.

You will be well aware that we are great fan`s of Azdry Dry Suits, using them personally and in the school.

These are high end suits and are a hefty investment, well worth it though for the quality they provide.

Our other favorite piece of kit is often unsung, but equally vital, underwear. The tool of choice, and it has almost become a uniform for serious divers, is the Arctic range of undersuits from Fourth Element. These are technical pieces of kit that offer the highest level of insulation without being big and bulky. This means they have great buoyancy characteristics too. They come with the option of one or two-piece outfits, purely for personal preferance. These are available from small to xxxl sizes  and are in store now. Hoods, gloves, even socks are all in stock so come on down and stay cozy this winter.

Here is the latest from Fourth Element.

A top end dry suit for under 1K.  The Hydra neoprene dry suit is on limited special offer of £899. The suit is high density compressed neoprene offering very stable buoyancy and thermal characteristics along with great flexibility. Weight is reduced by the addition of a dry plastic zipper. The outfit is complete with changing bag, braided low pressure hose and even a 7mm hood. Amazing value. The offer is only available through Fourth Element Dealers such as Diveworld.

We have a sample size in store if you would like to view and can size you up accordingly.

"I fell in love with scuba watching Jacques Cousteau's Silent World on TV in the 70's.

Originally learned to dive with BSAC prior to BCD's and balanced regulators, relearning with PADI was a revelation, modern equipment makes scuba so easy for everyone.

No favourite scuba pastimes, love it all, if pushed wrecks are a stand out pleasure underwater. Became an instructor in 2003 and have crept up the instructor ladder steadily as the need arose within the dive centre.

Biggest pleasure is introducing new divers to the delights of the underwater world and sharing their new experiences with them."

Most enjoyable part of being a PADI Member is that there are new innovations appearing almost daily so there is always something new to learn and explore.
